I don't usually clean tank rocks since there is beneficial bacteria on them and too difficult to do every so often and I am lazy. =)
I live by that motto but i make it sound like i am less lazy than i really am LOL 'if it aint broke... dont fix it'

I know this sounds crazy but i am considering raising the salinity to almost sea levels.
That will make my algae live (why?)
Not because of money but because of practicality i don't have any options in terms of nutrient uptake.
Look at this video before commenting

Cool. Now I know the Pipipi snails live a long time.

Just make sure you don't pour salt directly into your tank with shrimp and snails in it, this will harm them. Also raise the SG slowly over a few days/weeks so as not to shock the Opae ula. You may already know all of this but just in case you don't.

pipipi are just nerites! I think all nerites live that long thing is their lifespan is cut short by being put in freshwater

I was going to raise it tomorrow but something went wrong.
My algae started producing lots of bubbles and all the shrimp went crazy like 40 mph!
I took it out immediately!
This algae is clearly not suited for brackish!!!!!!!

I don't know either! I put it in another vessel, with nutrient solution. I will see how that works it's a waste if i just throw it away...
