Does anyone know why the biodigest is not working on the ammonia? This is strange because after 24hrs I would usually have a reading for all tests. But so far, nitrites and nitrates are 0 and ammonia is still a 1ppm. :what:

Maybe there is just too much for the Biodigest to convert, if you are having ammonia issues you may have to do a small water change to bring it down.

This is the before and after.

They were clustered together and I could just move them around with the pipette and the whole ball would move.

Second pic is quite recent. More alive and swimming.

Interesting they would cluster together. Wondering what is happening or if they feel safer together.

My 1st guess was they are trying to eat the dying one but without seeing it my self its just a guess, Ive purchased some Opae ula in the past and they were eating one that had died in transport.

I think they feel safe together. They probably thought they were gonna die so just stick together?

I had 8ppm once in my old tank, the next day, there were nitrites present. So it's strange now that nothing is reacting.
Could there still be insecticides in it?!

How do you guys get distilled water? Do you all just get tap water and add solution to remove chlorine?

You can use Distilled water or RO water, You can buy Distilled from local stores or buy RO from any shops that sell fish. If you are using Tap water you should check for ammonia in that directly from the tap because you could be introducing it into the tank that way, solutions/de-chlorinators only work on removing heavy metals, chlorine and chloramine so if there is anything else nasty in your tap water it will still end up in your tank water. Tap water should really be the very last resort as it can bring so many issues.

Oh, I added the ammonia myself because I am trying to re-cycle the tank again. After the baygon issue.
I have been trying for a few days now. The biodigest don't seem to work on the ammonia.

I might be getting a new tank and everything new to start all over. :sad2:

I see, guess I'll stick to distilled water then! I thought those solutions would work well in removing bad stuff from the water. :what:
