See: http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/ ... r-1st-time

I saw this article and read through to the bottom and it listed something very interesting:

The link leads to this page when it describes the shrimp: http://hawaiinaturejournal.weebly.com/h ... red-shrimp

Now is this anything to do with some sellers disappearing or have some sources just got some wires crossed?

Per the reading, it is the "Procaris Hawaiana"

They are talked about in the "Hawaiian Anchialine Pools" book. They are found in two pool groups in Maui and two pools in the Big Island.

Good that more animal/plants are on the list. Clap to to the government! :grin2:

Do you think in our lifetime, the ones that are endemic to Hawaii like the Metabetaeus Lohena and Opae Ula will be on the list? :upset:

I really hope not, if I had to pick one that would be on it first I'd have to say the alphas. While Opae Ula shrimp are still being used as seahorse food due to their abundance I think tank owners are going to be free to buy them still. I wouldn't be able to stop keeping them now though.
