Original preggie shrimp has dropped some eggs, I counted about 6 left now.

This morning I saw another one pregnant shrimp and its redder! Thought it was the same shrimp but after hunting for a while, found the original paler shrimp! The new red one I saw her molting 2 days ago and set my sights on her feeling that she would get knocked up. True enough!

Congratulations and don’t worry about the eggs being dropped this is pretty typical of new mother shrimps and ask time goes on they lose less and less.

ugh, original mama shrimp (paler 1) was often seen juggling her eggs and this morning I caught her snacking on 1! From the original brood of around 6 eggs now she is just left with 2 thanks to the juggling and eating! See evidences attached!

Ugh, update - they dropped all balls! Ain't got no shrimplets coming anytime soon.

That said I noticed they still have their "stretchmarks" with them. Does anyone know when they will shed these stretched shells?

Are you sure they are the same shrimp that were berried and not more that will soon be berried?

I started a breeding tank about 2 weeks ago and saw my first berried shrimp today! She molted in front of my eyes yesterday and could see the guys chasing her around in a frenzy. Saw her bloated and flared swimmerettes and were super confident she was gonna be preggie.

She didn't disappoint! This morning indeed she showed up with some eggs!

And with this, I'm also very certain the black brown stuff u see (saddle) is their eggs. There were some debates I saw on other forums on whether the saddle is that or just their crap, but I can validate it indeed is their saddle! Pre and post for your comparison!
