I am contemplating starting a new tank that is snail free.
Fyi, if you have plants and you want to get rid of snails and scuds in it,
Just remove the shrimp and put them in a holding tank.
Then add seltzer water and it will kill all the unwanted critters and the plants will survive. Then drain and add fresh water.

To tell the truth I see very few, they only go out at night, they told me that by not feeding the number was kept limited

Yeah In theory that’s true but they eat algae and Opae tanks should be full of it :)

I couldn't find them in Italy, I ordered them from a shop in Spain. Let's hope for the survival of the larvae

Thanks, I have no plants, they are spontaneous algae. I tried to insert chaetomorpha twice but in both cases it died
