Ahoy! I was thinking about that some weeks ago too and did some research. I decided not to place them in my tank because Opae Ulas apparently do not need them because of the brack. It's more of a sweet water thing I guess. Some even reported animals dying after using them in brack. Well that's that.

i have not read about pets dying due to it, maybe the user did not wash the item before putting in tank. will consider whether to put again after they arrived!
