MTS at water surface

Bit worried about my set up. All the MTS are near water surface. No shrimp yet. Parameters are all fine. But I have a line of bacteria bloom about 4 inches below surface, not all through tank just a straight line cloud of it. Shrimp are on the way in post.

Is it that the tank is that full of bacteria that the MTS have no oxygen and if so will it effect shrimp also. ??

I haven't put a filter or air stone in as all the advice says its not needed. But tank is 90 litres but what to do

Dont worry about the bacterial bloom, as long as its not Ammonia, nitrites and very high nitrates then i wouldn't change a thing, i never got MTS to do the saltwater thing personally and they all kicked the bucket. Maybe yours are above the waters surface because they are trying to escape the salt water? Id just buy some Zebra Nerite snails from pets at home, they go in brackish water really well and dont reproduce.

Thanks, but could it be lack of oxygen and would it then effect any shrimp. I've read these shrimp can tolerate low oxygen levels, but is mine going to be too low. ??

Oxygen levels are something I’ve never been concerned about when it comes to Opae Ula, don’t worry.

Edit: so long as it’s not a sealed tank and you have air above the waters surface.
