As it's hard to find suitable snails which don't lay eggs, what happens with these eggs? Do they got eaten, or will they remain in the tank forever if you don't take them out? I am looking at the pros and cons here :)

Black trumpet snails bear live babies. Same with Malaysian trumpet snails. As far as I know most (all?) trumpet snails either bear clones if there is no mating partner or a "real" baby. They are super cute :grin3:

The eggs will just stay there until they are digested by bacteria I guess. Sadly I don't have experience with egg laying snails. Ask Opae Ula Related. He has some!

I wouldnt worry about the dust, in nature all kind of stuff falls on the water, the opae ula are known to eat dead bugs thar falls in the water. But any chemical like sprays, parfumes, bug killer, smoking... Its a thing to worry about
