Hi all, new here and have had my Opae ula for one day so far. I have two nano tanks set up with about 20+ Shrimp in each of them. One is about 3.4 L and the other 1.9L. Im planning to cycle a third 4 L container and move some out of the 1.9L.

The 3.4 L tank I noticed tiny white wriggling larvae. Does anyone have any idea what they are? They’re kinda grossing me out  and I don’t know how to remove them without disturbing the shrimp larvae (looks like I have two!)

Video: https://imgur.com/a/VHAqoqg you can see 2 tiny white larvae wriggling between the sea fan branches.

Here’s photos of my two set ups. The cube tank is the one I noticed white larvae in. Sorry, not sure why the pics are rotated.

Welcome to the forum! I love the tanks and wanted to know where the cube tank is from?

Don’t worry about those white worm things, they will disappear after a while, I had them in one of my tanks once and it sorted it’s self out eventually!

If these worm population over populated, you can kill them using NO-Planaria powder, safe for the shrimp but remove snails before dosing. Increase aeration after dosing.Image

Oh, this is so gross. I only saw about 3 of them and they are even smaller than the shrimp larvae. I thought they disappeared today but then saw 1. Hopefully they die off, but I’ll keep an eye on them. Thanks for letting me know!

Not sure if you guys can see the attached image. My tank is now infested with these white little creatures that wiggles around. Its so tiny to be captured on camera. Do I get rid of them?

Only if they annoy you, are you feeding the tank anything?
