I didn't know that. I thought that the first choice had to be tank grown algae. Maybe that was not so bright assumption.

We have different brands over here but if you have a search for 'spirulina shrimp food' you will see some come up.

You're right in keeping them away from the window if you live somewhere hot or gets hot, these shrimp are very resilient but they will always thrive if kept at a comfortable temperature.
