hey Marko,

That sand looks fine from the description, it is just crushed coral which will keep your PH nice and high and the colour will hide the shrimp poop :laugh: :happy:

Don't buy the large grain size as some shrimp can get stuck in it when in the tank. Just be sure it is only crushed coral substrate and not 'live sand/ live coral sand'. The live stuff is only ideal for setting up a marine tank which is NOT what we are aiming for as the living bacteria and other living things will die and you will get the biggest ammonia filled water for a very long time followed by big nitrate levels as your nitrogen cycle (tank cycle) process's it.

Ok thanks, I'm looking at the marine salt on the same site could you tell me which one would be best ? Just trying to order from the same shop to get free delivery :laugh:

Id go with this one ^ , but you can buy alot smaller packs, 1KG... 4KG ect..
