Maybe but I do know they know their own specie of shells.
I have two species of Hawaiian Pipipi snails. The Theodoxus Neglectus specie is the only one that lives in brackish tanks (my observation, don't know about other people experience) and I have one that keeps going on top of a same specie empty shell even though there are other empty shells of the other specie in there.

Water test seems fine after some time. And shrimps seems happy. The sea fan is starting to get mossy gluey though

Try reducing your lights next, I have mine on for about 9 hours a day.
