Hi everyone, may I know if I can feed this shrimp feed to my opae ula shrimps? I know some people use spirulina using toothpick drip, but is it possible to compress them into mini ball form? :)

should be fine as long a sthe opae shrimp can finish these pellets in 2-3 hrs.
give the smallest possible sized pellets first for them to try on.

Or just look into feeding pure freeze dried spirulina. I use this one. I don't use any type of shrimp food that is targeted towards freshwater shrimp. Once my tanks have been set up I stop feeding unless the population in the tank is too high. Initially I feed 2x a week for 12 weeks and then stop. I stay away from protein based animal ingredients since I'm not running any filtration.

This is the way to go to be honest, tried and tested.

Edit: There are many brands so you can choose others.

I pretty much stick with spirulina. This one IMHO works the best. I've tried others that seemed to dissolve into the water too fast. This one floats and gives the shrimp plenty of time to eat it.

I have fed from time to time Hikari Algae wafers though not often.

I do breed various FW Neocaridina & Caridina shrimp. I don't feed the opae any of these foods.

I totally opposite, I feed my opae ula all kinds of shrimp food that I can get hold of(powder form, pellets, wafer, mulberry leaf etc) as long as they able to finish it within a days(except mulberry leaf, this no Ill effects as long as give portion that suit the tank size and not to bottle/jar enclosures) , it will be fine.

Most keep the Opae Ula stop feeding at some point. For example my 6 year old quart jar. I've fed it at most a dozen times in the 6 years I've had it. Opae Ula are very simple shrimp. I don't run any filtration and rarely feed. IMO it's completely different then FW shrimp. I tend to keep it simple.
